About the Rock Canyon Half Marathon- 40th Anniversary Run!
The course drops out of City Park and onto a river trail almost immediately, following the Arkansas with kayakers on the water and deer showing up near the nature center turnaround. The path is mostly smooth but picks up some dirt as it heads west, so the footing changes. It runs fast in both directions.
Packet pickup is inside the park pavilion on race morning, before the start. Traffic through the park runs one way, so follow the road around the zoo to the east entrance near the fountain. Parking is spread across several areas within the park, and the finish brings you back to the same pavilion where you started.
