About the Rhode Island Half Marathon & 5K
Both courses run along the East Bay Bike Path, with Narragansett Bay on one side and the Providence skyline visible across the water. The route is paved and mostly flat, and because the path hugs the shoreline, there is open sky and a decent breeze for most of the morning. Pierce Memorial Stadium serves as the hub for both distances.
Packet pickup happens at a Marathon Sports location in the days before the race, with race-morning pickup available at the stadium as a backup. After the finish, there is a post-race party with breakfast sandwiches and beer on offer. A bag drop is set up near the finish line.
