About the Resolution Run 6K

The course runs a single loop through the Vollmer Grove Trail in a Cook County Forest Preserve, on paved trail surface. It is open to strollers and dogs, so expect a relaxed mix of people treating it as a genuine start to something rather than a race in the traditional sense. The surroundings are wooded preserve, which makes the cold a little easier to deal with.

Packet pickup happens at the start area on race day, so there is no need to come out the day before. Parking is at the start area, with an overflow lot off Flossmoor Road for when the main lot fills. The Metra Electric line also has a stop within walking distance if you would rather leave the car at home.
