About the Regal Knoxville Turkey Trot 5K + Little Gobbler Kid's Run
The course runs through downtown Knoxville on a holiday morning, starting on Depot Ave. An elite corral at the front keeps the opening stretch from getting bottlenecked, with placements based on predicted finish time. The kids' run goes first, so families with young children finish before the main field even lines up.
Packet pickup happens at a few different spots in the days leading up to the race, including a sporting goods store and a couple of local bars and venues. There are light refreshments at the finish. Awards cover a wide range of age groups and categories, including Clydesdale and Athena divisions.
