About the Red Coyote Runway Mile
The course runs through the Wheeler District, built on the footprint of a former downtown airpark. From the start on Spoke Street, the route winds through a circuit of surrounding streets before looping back. The pavement is flat throughout, and the laps go quickly. A shorter loop on the same streets serves the kids sprint.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at the Red Coyote store, with race-day pickup available on Spoke Street near Taco Nation. The organizers push early pickup hard, and the race-day line can back up. Tacos and beer are part of the post-race scene.
