About the Ready, Set, SNIFF! 5K at BARCStoberfest

The course runs through Patterson Park, looping the grounds so that you pass through the heart of the festival area more than once. Dogs are welcome on the course, and plenty of people bring them. The atmosphere is heavy with Halloween costumes on both humans and animals, and the finish drops you right into the festival, which makes sticking around easy.

Registration opens in the morning, giving you time to settle in before the race steps off. After you finish, the beer garden is already open, there are food trucks on site, and a pet costume contest takes over the main stage later in the afternoon. The whole event runs well into midday.
