About the Race To Slow The Pace
The course winds through a working vineyard outside of Lodi, so you are running between rows of vines on uneven dirt with gentle rolls in the terrain. It is an agricultural setting, open and rural, with habitat corridors alongside the farmland. The race benefits a farmland trust, and that mission is woven into the event itself.
A paella brunch is served after the run, and wine is available at the finish area. The post-race gathering happens on the vineyard grounds, which makes for an unhurried end to the morning. Strollers and dogs are welcome on the course.
