About the Project Youth OC - 2027 OC Marathon
The OC Marathon is a point-to-point course that starts near a shopping destination and finishes at the county fairgrounds, so the surroundings shift as the miles go on. A shorter walk/run option runs the day before the main event, giving the weekend a two-day shape. The race is organized around a charity mission supporting local youth and families, and that purpose is visible in how the event is framed.
The finish at the fairgrounds gives everyone a clear gathering spot after the race. Fundraising is woven into the structure, so runners who join the charity team are expected to raise money alongside logging miles. Post-race, the fairgrounds offer space to meet up with whoever came out to cheer.
