About the Project Graduation: Run N Done 5K

The course follows River Road, a historic stretch through Denham Springs, so there is genuine scenery to take in while you run. The route is point-to-point along the road rather than a looped park path, which gives it a different feel from a typical neighborhood race. The event benefits a local graduation program, so most of the crowd has a personal stake in it.

Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a local church, which is a separate address from the race start at Kidz Korner Playground on Government Street. Race morning has both a shorter fun run and the main distance starting in sequence, so arrive knowing which wave you are in.

Common Questions About the Project Graduation: Run N Done 5K

Will I finish last at the Project Graduation: Run N Done 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 31:37, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:03:25, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Project Graduation: Run N Done 5K a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (98 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Project Graduation: Run N Done 5K?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 17:25 while the median finisher took 31:37. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
