About the Poolesville Day 5K Run & Walk
The course runs through Poolesville on a route that is open rain or shine, with the local volunteer fire department helping keep runners and spectators safe along the way. The race is part of a larger town celebration, and the parade route is just around the corner from the finish, so the streets are already filling with activity by the time most people cross the line.
Packet pickup is held the evening before and again on race morning, both at Poolesville Baptist Church. Picking up the night before is worth it if you can manage it; race-morning lines can stack up before the start.
