About the 2027 Pole Vault in Paradise 5k
The course runs along the southern shoreline, starting at Higgs Beach and following a path past Smathers Beach before finishing out on White Street Pier. The ocean is on one side most of the way, and the pier finish puts you over the water. It is an untimed fun run, so the pace tends to be easy, and the whole event wraps around a pole vault competition happening nearby.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Higgs Beach, with a second window on race morning at the same spot. Parking directly at the beach is tight due to event setup, so plan to use a public lot or the park across the street and walk in. After the run, the pole vault competition continues on site, and there is a silent auction if you want to linger.
