About the PNW Pink Ribbon Run/Walk
The course runs through Manito Park, with a longer run option and a shorter walk option sharing the same morning. The event is built around cancer survivors, people currently in treatment, and those running in memory of someone, so the mood on course tends to be quieter and more purposeful than a typical road race.
Proceeds go toward practical support for local cancer patients, things like comfort bags, meal deliveries, and house cleaning services. Families show up in groups, and the start area reflects that. It is the kind of morning where people write names on their backs and mean it.
