The course runs a couple of loops around a high school campus in Wendell, mostly flat with a few hills scattered through. It is a school cross country team fundraiser, so the crowd skews toward families and student athletes. There is also a Pass the Pirate Challenge, where outrunning designated runners earns a special award.
