About the Pirate 5K Booty Run
The course runs through Fresno with costumed pirates stationed along the way and music at various points on the route. It is a themed run, so expect plenty of people in full pirate gear, which makes the atmosphere more carnival than workout. The route is open to strollers.
Packet pickup the evening before is at Fleet Feet Fresno, at the corner of Fort Washington and Friant. On race morning, late pickup opens before the start. There is a costume contest and a group spirit award shortly before the gun, and a prize drawing follows the awards.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Pirate 5K Booty Run has been held every year since at least 2016. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
