About the Pierogi 5k Walk/Run
The race starts and finishes in the LindenPointe parking lot at Butler Community College, which opens up into a wider area that works well for a post-race gathering. The course itself is a road run through that campus corridor, and the morning draws a wide range of paces, from stroller-pushers to folks chasing age-group awards.
After you cross the finish, there are homemade pierogies with assorted toppings waiting for you, along with a coffee truck on site. A DJ keeps things going, and an animal rescue organization brings adoptable animals to the finish area. Professional race photography is part of the setup, and an awards ceremony wraps up the morning.
