About the PFC. Jacob Hancher 'High Speed' 5K
The course runs through Market Common, a walkable mixed-use district in Myrtle Beach with wide streets and open space. The terrain is flat and the surroundings are tidy and pedestrian-friendly, making for a straightforward out-and-back or loop through the neighborhood.
After the race, the post-run gathering moves to Tidal Creek Brewhouse, which is one of the presenting sponsors. The race is organized by the Myrtle Beach Police Foundation and honors a fallen officer, so the atmosphere around the start and finish tends to feel more personal than most local road races.
