About the Pensacola Banana Bridge Run Dec. 19th
The course runs on the long bridge spanning the bay, so you are out over open water for the whole route. Several distance options are available, from a short walk to a longer run that goes all the way up the bridge and back. The views are the real backdrop here, and plenty of people show up in banana costumes.
Packet pickup is at Fleet Feet in downtown Pensacola during the week before the race, with day-of registration available at the start. Post-race, there are banana-themed games including a toss contest where the winning pair takes home a new pair of shoes. Dogs and strollers are welcome at the event.
