About the Paws Crossed 5K!
The race runs through FDR State Park, so the surroundings are wooded and open rather than urban. Dogs are welcome on the course, which gives the start area a different energy than most local races. The whole morning is tied to an animal rescue organization's annual celebration, with food trucks, live music, and vendors active well after the run finishes. Adoptable animals are there too.
Packet pickup happens race morning at the park parking lot. Same-day registration is also available if you decide to show up without signing up first.
