About the ORRRC Cross Country Trail 5k
The course runs through Grant Park on trails, so expect dirt underfoot rather than pavement. It is a cross country format, which means the terrain will do some of the work for you. Parking is at Watts Middle School on McEwen Road, a short walk from the start area.
Check-in opens well before the gun, and the table with the green tablecloth is where you pick up your timing chip and attach it to a shoe before you line up. Registration can be handled on race morning if needed, either on a device or on paper.

The ORRRC Cross Country Trail 5k has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
