The course runs out from a high school along a road with police support, turns around at a Baptist church, and comes back the same way. It is an out-and-back on pavement, open enough that you can see well ahead, and the turnaround gives you a clear sense of where you stand in the field.
Packet pickup is the evening before at the high school's main entrance. Race-morning check-in opens before the start, so there is time to settle in without rushing.
