About the Oktoberfest 5K Prestented By Big Lug Brewing

The course runs on the Monon Trail, a paved rail trail with tree cover that keeps the sun off on a fall morning. The route heads out and turns back at the midpoint, where there is a water stop, so the path is the same both ways. The race starts and finishes at Big Lug Canteen, and the post-race festival has German food, cold Oktoberfest beer, and a live band.

Packet pickup is race morning only, outside Big Lug Canteen. There is no parking at the venue itself, but a couple of nearby shopping center lots are within easy walking distance along the trail, and the organizers say neither will tow.
