About the Ocean Springs Rotary 5k
This is an evening race, and runners are required to wear lights or reflective gear on the course. The route starts at Fort Maurepas, follows the front beach, and goes up and over a bridge before turning back. It is USATF certified, and the bridge climb is the one moment where the flat coastal route opens up into something a little different.
A costume contest runs alongside the race, with categories for adults and kids. There is music, food, and drinks at the finish, including barbecue. Packet pickup and pre-race details are best confirmed directly with the organizers, since the evening schedule makes timing worth double-checking before you arrive.
