About the North by North 5k
The course runs along the Ma and Pa Heritage Trail, heading north from the North Avenue Trailhead to a turnaround point and back. The surface is trail, the terrain is gentle, and the surroundings are the kind of wooded corridor that makes a morning out feel easy. Runners and walkers go out at nearly the same time, so the path stays sociable throughout.
Parking is at the North Avenue Trailhead, which is also the start. This is a self-timing event, so you log your own finish time via a QR code at the finish table. Random prizes get handed out afterward, and trail and running club merchandise is available for purchase on site.
