About the Newtown Haunted Hustle 5K
The course winds through historic Newtown Borough, starting and finishing in a parking lot on Chancellor Street. Costumes are strongly encouraged, and plenty of runners show up in Halloween gear. Prizes go to top finishers by category and to the best costumes, and the whole event benefits a rare genetic disorder foundation.
Packet pickup happens the two evenings before the race at Second Sin Brewing on State Street. After the race, that same brewery hosts a post-race party, a short walk from the start, where participants of drinking age get a complimentary drink. Street parking is available on nearby Chancellor, Washington, and Lincoln avenues.
