About the Newport Turkey Trot
The course runs along the coast near Yaquina Bay and the Hatfield Marine Science Center, with views of the Pacific stretching out as you go. The terrain is flat, and the surroundings make it feel less like a race morning and more like a good reason to get outside on Thanksgiving. A costume contest draws some creative entries, and part of each registration fee goes to a local food bank.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at Arctic Circle Restaurant, with race-morning pickup available at South Beach Marina before the start. The marina serves as the staging area, so parking and setup are centered there on race day.
