About the New Year's Eve 5K
This one runs on the last afternoon of the year at Veteran's Park in Mentor. The course is a standard road distance, and the timing gives the whole thing a celebratory edge without leaning too hard on it. Countdown clocks and party music are part of the scene, so the atmosphere is a bit different from a typical morning race.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local running store, with race-day pickup at the park as a backup. The start is in the afternoon, which means you have most of the day before you need to be there.
