About the New Year's Eve 5K

The course runs out and back through Friedman Park, starting and finishing at the West Pavilion. It is a straightforward route, the kind you can pace yourself on from the first step because you know exactly where you are turning around. The park setting keeps things quiet underfoot, and the race goes on regardless of weather.

Check-in and late registration open at the park on race morning, closing about a quarter-hour before the gun. There is no packet pickup the day before, so plan to arrive with enough time to get your bib and get warm before the start.
