About the 2026 New Glarus Woods Trail Run
The course runs through New Glarus Woods State Park, a proper trail run rather than a road race dressed up in dirt. Expect rooted, wooded singletrack through a state park that the race series actively supports, with proceeds going toward its upkeep. There is also a shorter kids' route that starts and finishes at the day use area inside the park.
Parking is at the high school, and from there you walk, jog, or catch a shuttle into the park to reach the start. Packet pickup happens inside the park itself. Post-race there is lunch and an awards gathering, so it is worth staying around after you finish.
