About the New Bern Autism 5k Run/Walk
The course runs along the waterfront at Union Point Park, where downtown New Bern meets the water. It is flat and follows the shoreline, so the scenery carries you through. Beyond the race itself, the morning brings a kids' fun run, a resource and vendor fair, food trucks, and a ceremony honoring autistic individuals and their families.
The start is at Union Point Park, and the event runs well into midday, so there is time to stay after the race, walk the vendor fair, and hear the music. The organizing group is a local nonprofit focused on connecting families in Eastern North Carolina with autism resources and support.
