About the 2026 NCHC Save Your Pumpkins 5K Run/Walk
The course runs along the lakefront in Sandusky, starting at a pavilion on the bay. The route is flat and stays close to the water, so you get open views throughout. The race benefits breast cancer research and patient support at several regional hospital systems, and that purpose is pretty present in the atmosphere on the morning.
Packet pickup the evening before is at a medical center on Tyler St., with parking in the lots along that street. If you miss it, pickup is also available at the start on race morning at the bay pavilion.
