About the 20th Annual Myrtle Beach Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk
The course runs through Market Common, a neighborhood built on the grounds of a former Air Force base. The streets there are wide and flat, with a mix of shops and open space around Grand Park Lake. It is a Thanksgiving morning race, so the crowd skews toward families out before the big meal.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a location announced closer to race day, with a second window on race morning at the Grand Park Lake courtyard. Free parking is available in a nearby garage and along the side streets through the neighborhood. Port-a-potties are set up at the courtyard.
