About the MW 5k Color Run
The course starts at an amphitheater inside Makoshika State Park and rolls downhill through badlands terrain. Participants move through color stations along the way, so by the end most people are covered in powder. The surroundings are genuinely striking, open rock formations rather than the usual park path.
Registration and check-in happen at the start area on race morning before the gun goes off. After the run, the Makoshika Music and Arts Festival is already going nearby, so there is a natural reason to stay.
