About the MRT 2027 Last Runner Standing 1 Mile
This is a last-runner-standing mile held at the Statesville Soccer Complex. Everyone starts together and must finish each mile under a time window. That window shrinks with each successive round, and the field thins until nobody can beat the clock. It is a format that rewards both speed and endurance across a long evening.
The race is part of a season-long championship series, with points awarded for overall, masters, and age-group finishes each night. Runners who compete across enough races throughout the year become eligible for the series championship, which carries prize money for the top finishers. Dogs are not permitted at the venue.
