About the Mott Lake Trail Run (3Mile
The course runs along the Flint River Trail out of Bluebell Beach Park, passing Stepping Stone Falls and the edge of Mott Lake before looping back. Most of it is paved trail, with a stretch on a public road for the longer distances, where a coned lane keeps runners separated from traffic. The terrain stays mostly flat with only gentle rolling through the hardwood forest sections.
Packet pickup happens race morning at Bluebell Beach Park, so there is no separate trip the day before. The park is also the start and finish, which makes parking and logistics straightforward. Strollers are welcome on course, and dogs can come along as spectators but not as running partners.
