About the Moonlight 5K

The course runs out and back along the Housatonic River, so you get the water on both sides of the route. The road is flat the whole way, which makes it a reasonable shot at a personal best if that is what you are after. It starts in the evening, so the light and the temperature are usually more forgiving than a morning race.

The race falls during Goat Days, a local festival, so the start area at Young's Field has food trucks, live music, and fireworks going on around it. You can arrive early or stay after and fold the race into the broader evening without much effort.
