About the MoCo CARES Charity Race
The race is hosted on the grounds of a private school, with distances ranging from a short kids' tricycle loop up through a full timed course. The event is built around a service mission: after the racing finishes, participants gather to pack backpacks of essentials for children in foster care. Cash prizes go to the top finishers, and age group awards run deep.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a physical therapy and fitness gym in Rockville, with free parking behind the building. Race-morning pickup is available at the school itself, though the organizers are upfront that it gets hectic. Arrive with your bib already in hand if you can.
