About the MCRRC Run Under the Lights
This race runs through Seneca Creek State Park while the Winter Lights Festival is active, meaning the roads through the park are lined with illuminated displays and animated light installations. Traffic is cleared from the course, so you are moving through a lit-up landscape with no cars. It is a road race, but the surroundings make it feel like something else entirely.
Packet pickup is offered the evening before at an activity center in Gaithersburg, with a second window at the race site on the day itself. Parking is on-site. The race sells out quickly after registration opens, so the waitlist fills fast too.
