About the Moab Trail Marathon
The course runs through Kane Creek Canyon, following alongside the Colorado River before the road turns to dirt and the canyon closes in around you. This is red rock country, so expect exposed terrain, dusty trail underfoot, and views that keep opening up as you move deeper in. The marathon and shorter options share the same general area, each with its own character on the canyon floor.
There is no parking at the venue on race days. Runners take a shuttle from a nearby elementary school, which also has overflow parking at an adjacent park and along surrounding streets. Packet pickup happens the evening before at the venue itself, with a clear window of time to get there before dark. Post-race, there is soup and snacks at the finish.
