About the Mitchell 5K

The course runs a couple of laps on the cross-country grounds at Heritage Christian Academy. It is a genuine trail course with real hills, off-camber turns, and stretches of uneven ground. This is not a road race dressed up as a trail run. The terrain keeps you honest throughout, and the hills show up more than once.

Packet pickup is available the evening before at the school, with morning pickup also offered on race day. Parking is at the school itself, so there is no hunting for a spot nearby. The race honors the memory of Mitchell Yoshikawa, and proceeds go to the school, its cross-country program, and missionary and charitable causes.
