About the Mississippi Blues Marathon, Half, 10K & 5K
The course starts and finishes inside a football stadium, on the fifty-yard line. All distances share that same start and finish, so the crowd at the stadium sees every runner come home. Jackson State's Veterans Memorial Stadium gives the whole morning a sense of place that a road-only race does not have.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at the stadium, with an early-morning window on race day for anyone who could not make it the day before. After finishing, there is jambalaya, fruit, snacks, and cold drinks at the post-race spread, including beer for those who want it.
