About the Milford Memories Run

The race starts and finishes at a local YMCA, with the shorter distance going off first and the longer distance following shortly after. Both courses return to the same spot, so spectators can catch runners at the end without any wandering. After the race, downtown Milford is already setting up its art fair, which is worth staying for.

Packet pickup opens early on race morning at the YMCA pavilion, so there is no separate trip the day before.

Common Questions About the Milford Memories Run

Will I finish last at the Milford Memories Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 31:11, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:01:53, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Milford Memories Run a good first 5K?

It is a small race (195 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Milford Memories Run?

The 5K winner ran 18:17 while the median finisher took 31:11. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
