About the Miles of Imagination Fun Run/Walk
The course is a loop through Joe Creason Park, and the format is open-ended: run or walk as many loops as you want within the time window. There are awards for whoever completes the most loops, split by age group and gender, so it can be as competitive or as easy as you want to make it. The park setting is the draw, not a finish-line clock.
Packet pickup happens race morning before the start, so there is no need to come the day before. The race benefits Young Authors Greenhouse, a Louisville nonprofit that runs free writing and publishing programs for local kids, and that mission is pretty central to how the event is framed.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Miles of Imagination Fun Run/Walk has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
