About the Miles for Minds: 5k and 1 Mile Literacy Quest
The 5k is chip timed and starts at East Park's band shell, following trails along the Winnebago River before looping through town and returning for a sprint finish at the band shell. The course is mixed terrain, and after the 5k wraps up, there is an untimed, literacy-themed walk with activity stations set up along the same park trails, each one built around a children's book.
The LaHa Sisters food truck, a local favorite, is on site after the events wrap up. There is also a virtual 5k option for those who cannot make it in person, with completions submitted the same day.
