About the Lime Creek Timber Trot
The course runs through the Lime Creek Nature Center on trails that move between restored open prairie and wooded stretches along the Winnebago River. Fall color is the backdrop for the whole thing. Parts of the trail are rocky, so trail shoes are worth thinking about, and spikes are not allowed.
Packet pickup is at the Nature Center the evening before, with race-morning pickup also available in the half hour before the start. Entry fees support Lime Creek Nature Center programs directly, and a local sponsor adds a cash donation on top of every entry fee.
