About the Merchantville Zombie Run 2025

The Zombie Run winds through the historic streets of Merchantville in costume, so the crowd on the sidewalks is as much a part of the morning as the course itself. The route has the feel of a neighborhood race, passing old architecture and familiar storefronts, and runners tend to show up in full costume.

Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at Eclipse Brewing on Park Avenue. Awards go to the top finishers overall and across a full range of age groups, with cash prizes for the overall winners.

Common Questions About the Merchantville Zombie Run 2025

Will I finish last at the Merchantville Zombie Run 2025?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 30:08, and the last recorded finisher came in around 48:36, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Merchantville Zombie Run 2025 a good first 5K?

It is a small race (135 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Merchantville Zombie Run 2025?

The 5K winner ran 15:40 while the median finisher took 30:08. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
