About the Mercer County Turkey Trot
The course runs on paved surfaces through Mercer County Park and is certified by USA Track & Field. It is flat enough for strollers, and runners are staged by pace at the start, so faster runners go out first. A shorter fun run follows part of the same route, though it runs without chip timing. Dogs are not permitted on either course.
Packet pickup happens in advance at McCaffrey's in West Windsor, upstairs in the Bistro area, with a couple of windows earlier in the week. Race-morning pickup opens at the pavilion near the West Picnic Area in the park. Net proceeds from the race go to local food banks and pantries.
