About the Megalodon Weekend
The shorter course stays entirely on the festival grounds and the waterway trail, away from public roads, which keeps vehicle traffic minimal and makes it easy for spectators to follow along. The longer course heads out along Airport Avenue, turns down Harbor Drive toward Caspersen Beach Park, runs a packed jeep trail loop, crosses a pedestrian bridge, and returns north along the Venetian Waterway Trail. Both are flat.
Both races start and finish at the Venice Airport Festival Grounds. Packet pickup is available race morning on-site before each start, with gates opening early to give you time to settle in. Awards follow a couple of hours after each race starts, so there is no long wait if you are only doing one of the two days.
