About the MARINE MUD RUN

The course runs through trails and open fields, with hills, obstacles, and mud pits woven throughout. It finishes with a water crossing and a final mud pit, so you will be soaked well before the end. Old clothes and shoes are the right call. Showers are available at the finish area.

Food and drinks are covered in the entry fee. There is bag check and key storage down at the course. Race-day registration is available on site, though at a higher price than registering in advance.

Common Questions About the MARINE MUD RUN

Will I finish last at the MARINE MUD RUN?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3 Miles field finished slower than 57:24, and the last recorded finisher came in around 2:31:02, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the MARINE MUD RUN a good first 3 Miles?

A field of 392 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the MARINE MUD RUN?

The 3 Miles winner ran 19:15 while the median finisher took 57:24. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
