About the Maddie's Miles

The course runs out and back along the Muddy Creek Greenway, starting from Jamison Park. It is a paved greenway route, so the footing is straightforward and the surroundings are green. The race honors Madison Marini and raises money for a local organization working with drug court programs, so there is real purpose behind the morning.

A rescue organization that was close to Maddie's heart brings adoptable dogs to the event, and there are auction items and food at the finish area. The presence of the dogs and the story behind the race give the gathering a weight that most road races do not have.
