About the Lucky Hare Half Marathon & 9K

The course runs point-to-point along the Great Northern Trail system, starting at a lake fishing access outside Kalispell and finishing in the heart of downtown. The trail keeps things rolling underfoot rather than technical, and the point-to-point layout means you are always moving toward the city rather than looping back.

Buses leave from downtown on race morning and shuttle runners to the start, so you park once and forget about it. Packet pickup is the afternoon before at a local running store, with an option the morning of for those coming from out of town. The finish area fills out with a post-race St. Patrick's celebration, music, and raffle drawings.
